The Magic Olympic Diet

Michael Phelps may be well known for breaking Olympic records and earning the most medals in history, but he’s even better known for his diet.

Well, maybe well known among diet fanatics. Phelps’ diet secret is that he’s on the dream fad diet: the pizza diet.

Pizza nutrition

A slice of a generic cheese pizza has 483 calories, 17 grams of fat, 28 mg of cholesterol, 812 mg of sodium, 57 grams of carbohydrates and 25 grams of protein. For the pizza diet, Phelps recommends that the dieter eat 13 slices of pizza.

If the dieter gets sick of pizza, the diet can be supplemented with a couple of fried egg sandwiches and other similar foods. That is only 6000 calories a day.

Breakfast

To begin the pizza diet, start off with three sandwiches of fried eggs, cheese, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, mayonnaise, an omelet, a bowl of grits, three slices of French toast with powdered sugar, and three chocolate-chip pancakes. Of course, this is a lot of food, so Phelps recommends that you eat quickly.

Lunch

Lunch time is where the smoothies come in. Since you will be consuming a lot of food, you will need calories that leave the stomach quickly in order to fight the feelings of bloatedness.

Exercise

Before exercising, be sure to stretch. Dive into the pool and swim around 50 miles per week. This is around 8 miles per day. Make sure that you swim very quickly. Phelps recommends that you compete as a swimmer in the Olympics. Be sure to win at least 14 gold medals.

Dinner

Finish the day by cramming as many calories as possible. If you haven’t reached your 6000 calorie allotment for the day, now is the time to reach it. Pizzas work well.

Phelps recommends pasta as well since your body will need enormous amounts of carbohydrates in order to be fully fueled throughout your exercise program.

Sleep

The absolute most important part of the pizza diet is to sleep. The exercise program that goes along with the pizza diet puts an enormous strain on your body and you will need to give your body plenty of time to recuperate.

The results

Despite the 6000 calorie intake, fat should melt away like wax off a candle. This will leave you with an incredibly lean and toned body. Beware though. This diet might lead to very large shoulders, since the swimming exercises provide the greatest workout your shoulders have ever experienced.

You will also probably want to find a sponsor since you will have no time for even a part time job with this diet program.
